The terms, in plain English.
What a Flying Out Friday Report is
An information-analysis document compiled from publicly available sources — the vessel's listing, published marine technical literature, owner-community knowledge and manufacturer documentation — produced without any physical inspection of the vessel. It is not, and must not be relied upon as: a marine survey or condition report; a statement of seaworthiness or fitness for purpose; a formal appraisal; or legal or financial advice.
Accuracy limits
The Report is based primarily on the seller's listing, which we do not independently verify. Listing data may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or misleading — part of the Report's job is to flag exactly that risk. Cost figures are analytical estimates built from published parts prices and documented component data; they are stated as ranges and are not quotes, guarantees of any repair bill, or guarantees of any transaction price.
The material you supply
You choose what reaches us: listing text, photographs, videos, links, and any documents you want read. By submitting that material you confirm you have the right to send it to us — in practice it is an advertisement a seller or broker has published, or paperwork given to you. We use it for one purpose, producing your Report. We do not publish it, resell it, or pass it to anyone else, and we claim no ownership of it: whatever rights exist in a seller's photographs remain with whoever holds them.
Before you buy any boat
Commission a full condition and valuation survey by a qualified independent marine surveyor (SAMS/NAMS-accredited in the US, or equivalent), and obtain independent legal advice on title, liens, registration and tax/VAT. A Flying Out Friday Report prepares that process; it never replaces it.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Flying Out Friday and its operators are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the Report or from any decision to buy, sell, or walk away from a vessel. The Report informs your judgment; it doesn't replace it.
Refunds
AI can make mistakes. If we got it wrong — wrong boat analysed, a system error, a Report that plainly isn't what the open sections promised — we fix it or refund it, no questions, no forms. Email us and a human answers: contact us.
